Mr Menh Sophea
He has been working for Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS). In his job as a National Curriculum Developer, he has participated in writing National Curriculum Standard, syllabus, blue print, producing and developing pedagogical documents, teaching aids, conducting workshops and trainings. In term of an educator, he attended Kampong Speu Teacher Training and Phnom Penh Regional Teacher Training Colleges. Furthermore, he earned Bachelor and Master’s Degrees of TEFL from Human Resources University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. On top of that, he is pursuing PhD of Educational Administration at The University of Cambodia (UC), Phnom Penh, Cambodia as well as a lecturer in the College of Education (CoE), The University of Cambodia (UC). Especially, he used to attend international workshops and short courses abroad in the context of developing his expertise. He has taught Curriculum Planning and Changes, Principal of Education, Cognitive Development, and other courses. For his teaching, he always motivates his students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking to establish a learner-centered environment in the classroom. Collaborative learning is a central to his teaching philosophy to promote reflective thinking and improve the students’ communicative and trans-cultural skills. Digital, ICT skills, and English Language are the tools used to push accelerating student learning and doing researches.
